Mike Durta

Club: Westlake Villiage

Mike joined the Rotary Club of Westlake Village in 2017 and served as the club’s President in 2021/2022 and 2022/2023. Mike’s positions in the club have varied from

Vocations, Membership, and Marketing Chairs. He is currently District 5240’s Interact Chair and will be the District Governor for 2025/2026.

His Rotary accomplishments include being a Paul Harris Fellow, a Master PRLS graduate, receiving the Otto Stoll Award from the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks, and guiding the Westlake Village club to the Gold Award in 2021/2022.

Mike has been a member of the board for the Southeast Ventura YMCA for sixteen years and is a five-year board member of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber named him Volunteer of the Year in 2019.

Mike owned Candu Graphics for over 25 years. He has been in the printing field for over 35 years and started off as a Graphic Artist. When he moved Candu Graphics to Westlake Village, he joined the Rotary to promote his business. Now his focus as a Rotarian is to provide service for those in need.

Growing up in Venice, California, Mike was considered an “at-risk” kid. This usually meant coming from a single-parent household. Organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, the LAPD Youth Foundation, and many others who gave of their time, like coaches, teachers, and mentors, helped mold Mike. Then organizations like the YMCA and others helped him as a single dad of three children living in Agoura Hills, CA. It’s these experiences that have led to a life of service for Mike.

Mike and his wife Cindy have a blended family of five children between the ages of 32 to 35 and they reside in Newbury Park, CA. In addition, they have three grandchildren that keep them on their toes. Mike enjoys golf, travel and joking around with family and friends (even if his jokes are not that funny).
